Probably Bangkok's biggest single green area, the 497-rai Makkasan property owned by the State Railway of Thailand now is tied up in legal problems, and can't be a centre for malls and condos. (File photo)Once again, plans by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) to develop its lush Makkasan land have hit a snag. But the plan has been suspended out of legal concerns the property legally may not be developed for purposes other than railway schemes.
